(시창작) 지인이 보내준 글(어느 날 문득 시인이 되었다)과 나의 詩論

** 밝은 하늘의 詩論 **

나에게 시란 무엇인가?

내 경우는 매일 접하는 사물이 다른 얼굴로 다가올 때 시가 나온다. 

가슴 뭉클한 사건이 곧 그 자체로 시가 되지 않는다. 

감동, 사색,여과, 시나리오의 이성적 구성 등과 같은 일련의 과정을 거쳐 시가 탄생된다. 

시가 보기나 읽기에는 단순한 듯 보이나, 실제로 쓰기에는 단순한 게 결코 아니다. 

시작 초반기에는 잘 몰랐는데, 쓰면 쓸수록 시에도 영화처럼 시나리오가 있고 

그 시나리오를 풀어가는 건 바로 기교라는 걸 알게 되었다. 

내 경우, 시의 묘미는 

인생의 여러 국면들과 이에 대한 성찰 그리고 거기서 나온 반짝이는 통찰이 

잘 절제된 시나리오의 美 속에서 드러나는 것이다.

How would I define the process of creating a poem?

In my mind, a poem comes into being

as I encounter objects and situations in my everyday life

and they present themselves disguised in a new light.

The precise experience or incident that touches and moves me

does not automatically become a poem;

rather the poem takes shapes within me.

As I am being touched by a given reality

I go through a process of speculating, filtering, composing rational scenarios.

Though my readers as they are absorbing its meaning

may feel that the resulting poem is simple,

actually the process for composing and writing it down

is always more complex.

In the beginning stage of my writing poems I certainly did not know how my creation would turn out.

The more I compose poems, the more I realize

that each one contains various scenarios within it, just like sets in movies,

and my work is to master and refine my technique

for sorting these out and presenting them;

For me, the charm of a poem

is revealed in the beauty and order of the scenarios it evokes,

understated, with sparkling insights

coming from the poet’s introspective view

of the diverse dimensions of human life.

어느 날 문득 시인이 되었다 

시인들이 쓰는 
시의 주제는 각기 다르고, 
쓰는 기술도 다르지만, 그들이 
시의 길에 들어섰던 계기나 방식은 
거의 같다. 한 젊은이가 어느 날 문득 
자신에게 '시 같은 것'을 쓸 수 있는 
재능이 있다는 것을 알게 된다. 
서정주가 그렇게 시인이 되었고 
김수영이 그렇게 시인이 되었다.

* 어느 날 문득
뜨거운 눈물이 쏟아질 때가 있습니다.
닫혔던 마음의 빗장이 열리는 순간입니다.
오를 때는 못 보았던 꽃이 내려 올 땐 보이고
숲속 새소리가 어머니의 음성으로 들리기도 
합니다. 문득 시인이 되는 순간입니다.
눈과 귀가 열리면 누구나 
시인이 됩니다.
