(英詩) The Tyger BY WILLIAM BLAKE(1757-1827)

아래의 시는 KBS 클래식FM 저녁 6시-8시 프로그램 <세상의 모든 음악>의 시그널 뮤직 <Tiger in the Night>을 검색하다가 이 가사의 영감과 모델이 된 시임을 알게 되었다. Mike Batt가 작곡을 했고, Colin Edward Michael Blunstone이 부른 곡이 유명하지만 다른 사람도 부른 듯하다. 나는 노래 버전보다는 연주곡 버전이 더 듣기 좋다. 그러지 않아도, "세음"의 시그널 음악이 무엇인지 궁금했었는데,  드디어 정체를 알게되어 기쁘다.  새로운 음악을 알게 되는 것도 새로운 사람을 만나 알게 되는 것 만큼이나 기쁘고 행복한 일인것 같다.

"The Tyger" is a poem by the English poet William Blake, published in 1794 as part of his Songs of Experience collection and rising to prominence in the romantic period.
